The Pound Puppies of Ashdown, founded on October 8, 2009 by Calvin and Lena Seymour, is a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting pets and people. Our goal is to assist the Ashdown Animal Shelter in placing the animals there in good homes by holding regular adoption days, placing photos of the animals in public view , holding fund raisers, and making the public aware that there is indeed an animal shelter right here in Ashdown! We also help to provide for the basic needs of the animals there such as food, cleaning supplies, etc.
Shelter animals did not ask to be there. They are there because someone stopped caring for them, just didn't want them to begin with or maybe their owner passed away or found themselves in a situation where they could not care for their pet anymore. Whatever the reason, we believe that all animals deserve a loving home and we want to do what we can to help make that possible for as many of these precious animals as we can.
We hope you will join us by becoming a "Pound Puppy" as described in the acronym above. You can help to make a difference. If you would like to become a "Pound Puppy" all it takes is a donation , be it a monetary donation, a donation of your time, services or supplies!
